Developed platform-side features for the Snapchat SDK, contributing to advanced camera functionality and enhancing user experience in Snapchat’s applications. Implemented Selfietone, a feature that adjusts lighting for selfies, improving image quality and camera capabilities. Integrated access to physical camera IDs to optimize performance for Snapchat’s features by better managing hardware resources. Added support for front camera flash and other enhancements to improve photo and video capture quality in low-light conditions. Worked on a complex architecture involving an application with an AAR file, SDK Gradle, and a platform-side service that generates the jar file. Collaborated with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration of new features and addressed hardware-software interaction issues.
