Welcome to second iteration of Morgan Stanley sponsored students coding competition.

This challenge will be based on solving algorithmic questions. You will be given 24 hours to solve 6 challenges. The contest event is scheduled to start on Friday, September 25th 2015, 6:00 PM and finish on Saturday, September 26th 2015, 6:00 PM.

This contest is open to all for participation, but only students in India based colleges across all disciplines in their pre-final and final year of an undergraduate or Master’s program are eligible for prizes and career opportunities.

Registration will remain open throughout the duration of the contest.

Prizes

Prizes for top winners include:

  • IPad Air, IPad Mini or Moto 360 Watches for the top 10 programmers.
  • An opportunity to be assessed for an internship / full time positions at Morgan Stanley technology division in Mumbai and/or Bengaluru for selected candidates.
  • Morgan Stanley branded merchandise for the top 50 programmers.

Rules

  • Please refrain from discussing strategy during the contest.
  • Any case of code plagiarism will result in disqualification of both the users from the contest. We've a fairly good plagiarism detector that works at the opcode level.
  • You can code directly on our interface. We support 20 major languages. You can have a look at the environment in which we run your code. You can try out sample code given in Solve Me First to get familiar with I/O.
  • HackerRank and Morgan Stanley Organizing committee’s decision will be final.

Scoring

  • Each challenge has a pre-determined score.
  • Each submission for each problem will be scored, based on number of testcases it passes.
  • The total score of any participant is the sum of their maximum scores of each of the attempted problems.
  • Participants are ranked according to their scores. Cumulative time taken to solve the challenge is used as a tie-breaker.
