Work Experience
Staff Scientist
Euromov•  March 2016 - March 2020
Staff Scientist for a project on Spatial Disorientation (SD) Prediction. • Data science tasks: Performed a state-of-the-art literature review of SD accidents and solutions. Performed a cohort analysis using NLP text methods to show which types of solutions correspond to each type of accident. Created experimental workflows using Simulink and Matlab, to quickly design Virtual Reality motion simulator experiments; collected human response data during an SD situation. Classified and predicted SD perception, compared prediction using different ML tuning parameters. • Additional tasks: Supervised 1 MS and advised 1 PhD & 1 MS student and communicated results to non-technical stakeholders. Wrote an internal report for Airbus stakeholders & 3 technical papers for the scientific community. • Project Impact: Project encouraged future investments (equipment purchases for the future: +5K€)
Staff Scientist
Advanced Telecommunications Research Institute International (ATR)•  August 2012 - June 2015
Staff Scientist on a project for EEG Artifact Prediction. • Data science tasks: Collected human EEG and NIRS data using a 6-channel dry electrode headset in a naturalistic daily-life setting (BMI Smart House); performed naturalistic, motor imagery, and intention experiments. Classified daily-life data to predict behavior or artifacts (breathing, blinking, talking). Presented a live demonstration & wrote 1 technical paper for the scientific community. • Project Impact: Project encouraged future investments (equipment purchase: $+10K) Staff Scientist on a project for Stress & Comfort Prediction. • Data science tasks: SVM/LDA classification of stress/comfort using EEG measurements and skin conductance, wrote 3 technical papers for scientific community.
