Hack Moral is an annual mini hackathon launched by the INTECS of the University of Moratuwa. It is mainly focused on second-year undergraduates of the Faculty of Information Technology, University of Moratuwa to improve their problem-solving skills and critical thinking. This competition is entirely based on the HackerRank platform. image

Prizes

This will a practice round.No points will be taken for the final placements of the HackMoral 4.0.

Rules

  • The creator of this contest is solely responsible for setting and communicating the eligibility requirements associated with prizes awarded to participants, as well as for procurement and distribution of all prizes. The contest creator holds HackerRank harmless from and against any and all claims, losses, damages, costs, awards, settlements, orders, or fines.

  • Hack Moral 4.0 is exclusively for the second-year undergraduates of the Faculty of Information Technology.
  • The competition will be driving for 5 hours from the commencement time. (6.00pm-11.00pm)
  • The entire competition is conducted on the HackerRank platform, and it consists of questions that are ranked from easy, medium, and hard.
  • Points earned through HackerRank will be accounted for 100% of the total points earned.
  • Undergraduates can access the HackerRank playground regarding the competition as an individual competitor, only utilizing the accounts approved by the Hack Moral 4.0 organizing committee.
  • The ranking process of the competitors is done based on the score earned by solving the problems and the time taken for each problem.
  • Acts of plagiarism will be checked and penalties will be accounted for the final results.
  • The Hack Moral 4.0 committee’s decisions on all matters will be final.
  • Any violation of the rules committed before or during the competition will lead the competitor towards ineligibility for the ranking on Hack Moral 4.0 evaluation.

Scoring

  • Points earned through HackerRank will be accounted for 100% of the total points earned.
  • Each challenge has a pre-determined score.
  • A participant’s score depends on the number of test cases a participant’s code submission successfully passes.
  • Participants are ranked by score. If two or more participants achieve the same score, then the tie is broken by the total time taken to submit the last solution resulting in a higher score.
  • The committee of Hack Moral 4.0 will be publishing the marks and the rank earned by each competitor at the end of the competition.
