ServiceNow invites you to participate in the EMEA Tech Hiring Challenge, spanning across three countries. The challenge welcomes participants based in the United Kingdom, Ireland, and The Netherlands. This is a unique opportunity to showcase your technical abilities and become a regional Tech Champion.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible to apply, you must:

 

  • Have an interest or experience in Tech Support.
  • Be based in either the United Kingdom, Ireland or The Netherlands.

  • The organizers of the event have the right to disqualify any individual caught in the act of plagiarism.
  • The organizer reserves the right to determine the final ranks in the leaderboard.
  • Any case of cheating will result in disqualification from the event.

 

Key Information

 

The challenge takes one hour and launches on the 31st August. You will be able to start the test between 12 - 2 PM BST on the 31st August and will have 1 hour to complete the challenge. Please review the challenge selection to choose the topics aligned to your test area to complete.

    Performance

Managing the performance and availability aspects of the ServiceNow Instance. Handling cases such as high Instance response time, memory issues, semaphore exhaustions and SQL response/query tuning. 

 

 UX

Supporting UI related issues and optimising client-side performance through fine tuning of web technologies and browser development tools.

 

Service Management

The Service Management team specialises in debugging and troubleshooting ITSM, ITBM and Security Applications within the ServiceNow Platform.

 

Automation

Provide break/fix support to customers on products related to IT Operations Management (Commonly known as for ITOM) which is the management and strategic approach to planning, building, and operating digital services, technology, components, and application requirements in organisations.

 

Integrations

 The Integrations team owns and supports any feature in which data leaves or enters the ServiceNow instance. Such products/features include Emails Inbound/Outbound, Data Import/Export, Authentication and DevOps & SecOps.

What equipment do I need to complete the challenge?

Please ensure that you are initiating the test within the two hour window. Before you start, it is recommended that you go through the following checklist for a smooth experience.

  • Install and use the latest versions of Google Chrome or Firefox browsers to take your HackerRank challenges. For more information, check Browser recommendations for the best experience .
  • Ensure you have an uninterrupted internet and power supply to avoid problems during the challenge.
  • Use a web camera-enabled computer to take a proctored challenge. If your challenge is proctored, you will be notified in your invitation email. For more information, check Taking Proctored Challenges .
  • Ensure that you do not take part in any malpractices, as this can get captured in your report and may lead to disqualification from subsequent rounds.

How does the challenge work?

There are five different areas of the test and you will need to choose one. Please review the challenge section to choose what skills based areas to complete. Once you have identified your area, please only complete the questions that match to the profile. There are prizes for the challenge and top performers will be contacted for suitable opportunities with ServiceNow.

Can I discuss the test with someone at ServiceNow?

ServiceNow will be holding two FAQ office Hour sessions for you to ask questions on the 14th and 22nd August at 12:30pm.

What if I encounter technical issues during the challenge?

When will the winners be announced?

ServiceNow will announce the top three winners of each country within a week of the test date. Hackerrank will publish a leaderboard with the top 100 winners.
