Summer internship interview process:

 

  • Round 1 - HackerRank Assessment 
  • Round 2 - Coding interview round 
  • Round 3 - Leadership and values round 

Eligibility Criteria

1. Women students pursuing:

  • B.E, B.Tech, Dual degrees (B.Tech + M.Tech only) in the following branches: Computer Science engineering, Electrical engineering, Information Technology, Electronics and communications engineering, Mathematics and Computing, Engineering Physics.


2. A minimum CGPA of 7 or above is required.


3. Year of passing - 2026


4. Applicants must not have any current/active backlogs.


5. Any individual who has participated in any Atlassian online assessment or interview process in the last 6 months is not eligible to apply for this role.

Who is eligible to apply for the summer internship?

Eligibility Criteria:

What is the duration of the summer internship?

The internship program will span for 8 weeks, providing participants with a comprehensive experience during the summer break.

What is the stipend offered for the summer internship?

Interns will receive a competitive stipend.

When is the tentative timeline for summer interns to join?

Interns are expected to join between May 2025- July 2025, aligning with the summer break.

What will be the rounds in the selection process?

Interview Rounds for Summer Internship:

  • HackerRank Test (90 minutes)

  • Coding Interview (60 minutes)

  • Leadership & Values Interview (45 minutes)

What is the tentative timeline for the different rounds?

  • HackerRank Test - 21st Sept'24 - 8:00 - 9:30 p.m.
  • Coding Interview and Leadership & Values Interview - From 21st Oct'24.

Can I apply if I don't have a 7 CGPA but meet the other criteria?

To be eligible, a minimum CGPA of 7 is mandatory. Unfortunately, applicants falling below this requirement will not be considered.

I’m in 3rd year right now, How do I calculate my CGPA for applying for the summer internship opportunity?

You should have 7 CGPA or above till your 4th semester. Take the cumulative score of 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th year semesters, if you have 7 CGPA and above, you are eligible to apply.

Will there be any job offer at the end of the internship?

Based on the assessments during the internship, interns will be eligible for a pre placement offer.

What is the mode of the internship, and can I choose my work location?

Atlassian follows a "Team Anywhere" model, giving you the flexibility to choose your preferred work location. You can decide whether you want to work remotely from any location or join us at our Bangalore office. At the moment, we only hire from specialisations/courses mentioned in the eligibility criteria.

I am a dual degree course candidate and will complete my degree in 2026. Am I eligible to apply?

Yes, you are eligible if you are pursuing your dual degree in the following branches: Computer Science engineering, Electrical engineering, Information Technology, Electronics and communications engineering, Mathematics and Computing, Engineering Physics. 

Will I be able to choose the date of my interview?

No, the interview date will be allocated to you by us.

How will I receive the HackerRank test details?

The details will be sent to you over your registered email ID.

What documents will be required for me to submit during the interview process?

Any candidate who will be invited for the personal interview round will be required to submit their resume, college identity card, valid government photo identity proof, mark sheets till the latest semester. 

I don't have the semester mark sheet for the latest semester, what can I do?

You are requested to share the mark sheets till the latest semester. In case, your college has not released the latest semester's mark sheet, please submit the mark sheets you have as on date. 

Can I apply for this opportunity if I am looking for a winter internship in 2025?

This event is for summer internship opportunity only.

Atlassian recently conducted intern hiring process for my college but I wasn’t shortlisted for the personal interviews. Can I apply again now?

No, you are not eligible to apply for this event as you were part of the first round ie., the online assessment recently.

Is the online test MCQ based?

No, the online test will consist of questions where you will be required to solve the question and write the response.

Will there be a briefing session before the personal interview rounds?

Yes, we will conduct a session for the candidates who will be shortlisted for personal interview rounds.

I am attempting a HackerRank test for the first time. How can I prepare for a smooth experience?

In addition to preparing well before your challenge, it is recommended that you go through the following checklist for a smooth experience.

  • Install and use the latest versions of Google Chrome or Firefox browsers to take your HackerRank challenges. For more information, check Browser recommendations for the best experience.
  • Ensure you have an uninterrupted internet and power supply to avoid problems during the challenge.
  • Use a web camera-enabled computer to take a proctored challenge. If your challenge is proctored, you will be notified in your invitation email. For more information, check Taking Proctored Challenges.
  • Ensure that you do not take part in any malpractices, as this can get captured in your report and may lead to disqualification from subsequent rounds.
