    what is the scoring criteria in the leaderboard? how is it possible to get more than 160 points in this contest?

      I am also confused by that. All 10 challenges have a total score of 160. But in the leaderboard some people are having more than 300 points. How is this possible? Are there maybe some scores from previous bash contests included in the leaderboard?

        the problem statement says

        The restriction is, that you need to accomplish this with functional programming , why functional programming ?

            I wish I knew this before writing an immutable local-variable free version in Bash. It turns out Bash really really wasn't designed for that sort of stuff. o_o
