Welcome to Hack the Interview, a university coding contest where you can show off your skills and practice for interviews. The top scorers from the U.S. will have a chance to win Amazon gift cards worth up to $500 and have their results shared with sponsor companies.

This contest begins Friday, August 28th at 12 p.m. EDT / 9 p.m. PDT. Once you begin, you will have 2 hours to complete a series four coding challenges.

First place: $500 Amazon Gift Card

Second place: $250 Amazon Gift Card

Third place: $100 Amazon Gift Card

1. Only U.S. participants are eligible to win prizes during this contest. If you reside in the Asia Pacific region, please sign up for our APAC contest occurring at the same time. If you are an APAC resident and you register for this contest, we may move your registration to the other contest.

2. This contest is for individuals; teams are not allowed.

3. Any competitor found cheating will be disqualified and banned from future coding contests.

4. Contestants who have already won a prize in a Hack the Interview contest this year are not eligible to win prizes in this contest.

5. By participating, you are granting HackerRank permission to share your contest results and profile with companies using HackerRank and understand that sponsors may attempt to contact you regarding job opportunities. Please ensure your profile information is up to date if you opt in.

Participants are ranked by score. Your score is determined by the number of test cases your code submission successfully passes. If two participants have the same score, the tie is broken by the contestant with the lowest time taken.
