This competition is organized by the Career Guidance Society (CGS) in collaboration with the Computer Engineering Society (CENSOC) of Faculty of Engineering, University of Sri Jayewardenepura.

The program will span 21 days, featuring a diverse array of coding challenges.

Winners will be chosen based on both the consistency and accuracy of their code.

Prizes

Prizes will be announced in due course. Certificates will be issued for the winners.

Rules

  • The creator of this contest is solely responsible for setting and communicating the eligibility requirements associated with prizes awarded to participants, as well as for procurement and distribution of all prizes. The contest creator holds HackerRank harmless from and against any and all claims, losses, damages, costs, awards, settlements, orders, or fines.
  • Code directly from our platform, which supports over 30 languages. Learn more here.
  • To recognize for participation in the coding challenge, you must achieve a minimum score limit of 2000.
  • Your daily score will be based on the number of coding problems solved and the accuracy of solutions.
  • Each problem have a time limit of 24h, it should be solved within the time limit.
  • Bonus questions may be introduced to provide opportunities for earning additional points.
  • You will be ranked according to the cumulative scores throughout the challenge.
  • All rules and scoring criteria are transparent and will be communicated clearly.
  • You'll have access to your individual scores and rankings throughout the challenge.
  • Please adhere to the rules and guidelines of the competition.
  • Any unethical behavior, such as cheating or plagiarism, will result in immediate disqualification.

Scoring

  • Consistent participation in the competition and the problem solving accuracy will be evaluated.
  • Each challenge has a pre-determined score.
  • A participant’s score depends on the number of test cases a participant’s code submission successfully passes.
  • If a participant submits more than one solution per challenge, then the participant’s score will reflect the highest score achieved. In a game challenge, the participant's score will reflect the last code submission.
  • Participants are ranked by score. If two or more participants achieve the same score, then the tie is broken by the total time taken to submit the last solution resulting in a higher score
