Prizes

High School Teams - 1st Place prize: $50 for each team member - 2nd Place prize: $30 for each team member - 3rd Place prize: $20 for each team member

College Teams - 1st Place prize: $50 for each team member - 2nd Place prize: $30 for each team member - 3rd Place prize: $20 for each team member

Rules

  • The creator of this contest is solely responsible for setting and communicating the eligibility requirements associated with prizes awarded to participants, as well as for procurement and distribution of all prizes. The contest creator holds HackerRank harmless from and against any and all claims, losses, damages, costs, awards, settlements, orders, or fines.

  • Student teams can consist of up to 3 members.

Scoring

The scording will follow the ACM leaderboard rules.

  • A team's score is based on the number of problems they solve.
  • Ties are broken based on the sum of the time to solve the problems.
  • Penalty points equal to 20 minutes are added to the time for incorrect submissions.
  • If a problem is submitted but never answered correctly, neither the time nor the penalty points are applied to the score.
  • Teams are ranked first by the number of problems and second by the total time and penalty points.
